Description
This is an Andiappan yoga series, front bending themed class, also referred as half inversions when the head goes below the heart. Forward bending offers numerous physical and mental benefits, it stretches the back, hamstrings, calves, and hips, improves digestion and relieves stress and anxiety.
This class flows gradually from low to high intensity. Postures focus on giving a nice and even stretch to the posterior chain, including glutes, hamstrings and calves. Address your limitation and not to over-stretch the back and hamstring with the full strength and power of the arms. You will learn to make use of yoga blocks and strap for variations. Be mindful with your breathing, in most forward bending postures, inhale to lengthen the spine for the pelvis to fold more and to remove hunched back; while exhale to create space in the abdomen.
Follow the instructions of Master Yogannath to improve your forward folds. Practise mindfully and consistently. Slowly you will find stability and fluidity in your postures.
